Extracting a Process Portal B/OPIT Database From Process Portal B in MDB Format

1. The first step we have to perform is to open up Harmony Tag Importer/Exporter. It can be opened by clicking Start -> (All Programs) Programs -> ABB Industrial IT -> Operate IT Process Portal -> Harmony -> Tag Importer/Exporter.
2. When the Taglist Importer/Exporter wizard opens you will be presented with a number of choices. Select the Export Harmony Data to Composer (v3) MDB format option and click Next

3. Next, we are going to select the database that we wish to export, and a file to export to. Then, select the checkbox(es) for each of the lists you wish to include.

4. For our next selection we only want to include Running tags to be exported. To do this press the Running button on the right-hand side and click Next.

5. With running tags selected, you can now select the tags to export. The entire list can be easily selected with the Select All button.

6. After clicking Select All, all tags will show as selected in the list. You have to click Next to proceed.
7. The next screen shows which fields you want to have exported. We want to export all fields, so we are going to press the Select All button on the right-hand side of the screen and click Next.

8. The wizard now has all the information it needs to export the tag database in .MDB format.
9. The wizard will now produce a log of the export process. This will take a while so it would be a perfect time to get a cup of coffee.
10. When the export process has finished, it will tell you at the end of the log that it has completed successfully.
