What happens when I install over a previous version of DBDOC?

The installation process will check to see if a previous version of DBDOC has been installed on the machine. If there is one, it will:

• Preserve all settings (CIUMon, services, Hyperview, BuildPlus projects)
• Create an archive folder of all the program files in a sibling directory named DBDOC_archive.
• Uninstall the previous version of DBDOC.
• Delete any remnants that may be left after the uninstall.
• Leave any CrypKey files to maintain your license.
• Stop and restart the CrypKey License server and any CIUMon services.
• Create a log file DBDOC_install.log, located in the Windows directory.
