Creating a text annotation

To create a text annotation using the context menu:

  1. Right-click on an empty spot in the content pane, and then click Text Annotation and then Create… in the popup menu.
  2. Type the text you want in the annotation.
  3. When you are done typing, click anywhere outside of the annotation to save it.

If you right-click on a hyperlink, you can also select Create Text Annotation to create an annotation that already contains the loop, PCU, module, and block number information for the hyperlink.

To create a text annotation using the toolbar:

  1. Click on the text annotation toolbar button Tool create annotation.jpg
  2. Click anywhere in the content pane to create your annotation.

Information-noshadow.png Note: You can create text annotations on many different types of Hyperview documents, including CAD or CLD sheets, AutoCAD or Microstation drawings, graphics, and ladder rungs. Some types of documents, including the table of contents, batch files, and text documents, do not support text annotations.
